| The movement of a skateboarder constantly changes: it recreates itself by transcending boundaries and inventing ways to conquer obstacles. It’s constantly about anticipation and adaptation to one’s environment. The same is true for living design. The combination of the two produces a mixture of contemporary lifestyle, art and action sports culture, which is all found in this unique collection.
The SKATE STUDY HOUSE collection aligns its base with some of the bestselling pieces made from the best designers of the modern age and pays tribute to the renowned project, Case Study House. This project started as a post war movement developed by architects and designers with the goal to create a new lifestyle in a new realm of design. Fifty homes were built in the Los Angeles area and were furnished with new and innovative pieces of furniture from which many claim that “The Birth of Cool“ was created! The SKATE STUDY HOUSE finds its inspiration here by recreating this furniture, and giving it a feel of déjà vu-with-a-twist by incorporating skateboard decks. The introduction of this new element responds to the popularity of action sports, street art and design culture with a consciousness on our environment.
The unique platform of this collection is in the integration of the skateboard. By taking both new and used skate decks and incorporating them into existing and redesigned retro modern parts, an entirely different perspective is born. This collection is both fun and creative, while still maintaining the design integrity of its’ classic foundation. A youthful update that still carries with it premium handcrafted excellence with an amazing look. The best part is that all skate decks used can still be converted back into a skateable board…trucks and wheels not included.
Fueling from his passion for forward thinking, Pierre-Andre Senizergues has created a creative forum in which new projects, concepts and theories can take on a new life and new expression. PAS Projects is an incubator of design concepts that translate in various and unexpected forms. Pierre-Andre Senizergues hand picks renowned designers, artists and other free thinkers to join him in exploring how to incorporate new ways of thinking. Future projects ranging from architecture, fashion and art are already underway.

PIERRE ANDRE SENIZERGUES (PAS)
Pierre-Andre Senizergues, president and CEO of Sole Technology, parent company of leading action sports footwear and apparel company Etnies, continues to push designs that are created with skateboarders in mind and consist of a unique blend of fashion, durability and quality. Channeling his same creative spirit for innovation, Pierre-Andre Senizergues jumped head first into exploring other avenues of design by seeking to understand architecture, interior design and other eco / sustainable concepts. PAS has spent a considerable amount of time researching these new concepts -- always trying to mix the skateboard culture and green materials with each
endeavor. He also collaborated with Nadège Winter to create the WWP recycled t-shirts line, sold exclusively at Colette.
GIL LE BON DE LAPOINTE
Gil started skateboarding when he was 14 years old and continues to do so today. His design influence comes from hitting the streets in some his favorite cities like Paris, New York, Los Angeles and Barcelona – all considered epic cities for skateboarding. A designer for over 20 years in the action sports industry in visual marketing and merchandising, Gil has a passion for hybrid design. More recently, he has teamed up with Pierre-Andre Senizergues as his chief interior designer for a variety of residential and commercial projects and together they have come up with the SKATE STUDY HOUSE concept. Living the lifestyle is what is paramount for Gil and this is what fuels his constant inspiration for all his design innovations. |
